The Perfect Job

The perfect job doesn’t exist.

If you are waiting for a perfect job, it will never come.

Ever hear the adage, “when life gives you lemons?” I don’t like making lemonade, it’s just too much work. Plus, you need a lot of lemons to make a decent lemonade. I say, when life gives you lemons, take a tequila shot with that lemon. 🤷

We might feel like zombies doing the same thing day after day, not being able to find that fulfillment. I am here to tell you, that you aren’t going to find fulfillment on the side of the road just waiting for you to find it. You have to create your own fulfillment.

Last metaphor, I promise. The grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s greener, where you water it.

If you want the perfect job, you have to create it. Either by working on your own or by working to make your current job perfect.

Have a conversation with your supervisors about what you want to do. Tell them, if they don’t support your vision, then you can find another job. But invest in your current job before you go out there looking for another one.

Make a list of your priorities. What do you want in your job/career and create a plan. Work from there, don’t jump ship at the first sign of roadblock.
