Part-Time Professionals

A lot of people ask me how they can recruit in their spare time. They want to make some extra cash while still keeping their jobs. There are three basic parts of recruiting: Sourcing, recruiting and business development. Two out of the three things can’t be done Part-Time. Recruiting and Business Development are about people. We talk to clients (both employers and candidates), we are trying to build a long-term relationships. Helping someone find a job or find an employee takes time. Sometimes it’s takes months to find the right fit. You can’t do it working part time. It’s about building relationships. You might talk to candidates who aren’t looking right now, but you still want to keep in touch with them because they could be looking in a few months. Sourcing however, can be done part time. Now you might ask what is sourcing, here is a gist: Sourcing is finding the qualified candidates and handing them over to someone else to build that relationship. You might now ask, how do I do that? Well, that’s a whole article worth of stuff, so watch of the article on Wednesday.
