Interview Status update
“You might not hear back if we are no longer interested in you.”
Said a recruiter to a candidate who was well qualified for a job and they brought in for an interview.
*Yeah, why respect the candidate and treat them properly.*
Come on guys. What are we doing?
I am a staunch believer of not calling candidates who are obviously not qualified for any roles you have to fill. But telling someone you won’t call them if they aren’t selected further is just low.
People are spending their time and money and gas to come interview with you. They are clearly interested in your role. These are people who want to work for you and this is how they are treated?
I get it, things happen, but at least show some decency and let the candidate know what is going on.
Don’t keep them hanging. It’s not okay. Show them respect and decency.
